Hey there. Just checking in to say Deke and I had a blast yesterday, talking to Chuck Joiner of MacVoices. Chuck used his Jedi mind tricks to convince us to pull back the curtain a bit on Martini Hour (without the benefit of cocktails; Chuck is a true master, not to mention a gracious podcast host from whom I could learn a thing or two). We spoke a bit about where we got the insane idea for a show that features martinis and computer graphics, our approach to covering a visual subject in an audio only format, and whether or not there is a real Pimm's Quartet. Hey there, dekeOphiles, especially you fans of that refreshing auditory cocktail known as Martini Hour. Deke and I are proposing a panel at next year's SXSW in which we try to pull off a live version of what usually goes on behind secret velvet doors at the dekeLounge. We're calling it "Martini Hour Presents: Adobe CS4 Under the Influence," and we hope to get some luminary friends of the lounge to join us. Hello, friends of dekeOnline. We're declaring that today is the official day that dekeOnline turns one. Yes, we can't believe it either. It's been such a wacky year of great tips, sassy videos, loungy podcasts, and tons and tons of great community participation from you wonderful dekeOmaniacs.

In order to celebrate, Deke and I have recorded a dekeOnline anniversary toast in deliciously rich 192kbps MP3 to thank all the people who got us this far. And if you're reading this, that includes you, baby! (And if you're wondering where the 320Kpbs version is, you are insane.) By the way, we recorded our toast in the dekeLounge after a Martini Hour (in case you can't tell). So it's 100% authentic and we are giddily repetitive. All because we love you.
