This has been a bitter-sweet week for all of us.

What's interesting about this passing is: he wasn't a political leader, he wasn't a cultural leader, he wasn't a spiritual leader, and he wasn't a pop star. He was a thought leader. And an unmitigated capitalist. Read more »

Feature #39: Layer Comps

Thanks to the many of you who wrote to let me know how much you like my new Photoshop Top 40 series, produced by dekePod in conjunction with my esteemed video partner lynda.com. But even so, some of you miss the original dekePod so much you've taken to crying yourselves to sleep at night. Which is great because, as Fall Out Boy so eloquently put it: "I don't care what you think as long as it's about me."

But here's the thing: Photoshop Top 40 is a subtle drug. Give it a few views and it will hook you. By the time it ends--in the year 2525 or thereabouts--you'll be so Jonesin' for the next feature that you won't remember what dekePod, or me for that matter, wases. Read more »
