A couple of videos on Photoshop CS6

As of this moment, Adobe has released at least two sneak peeks on the topic of Photoshop CS6. The above is from Bryan O’Neil Hughes, who appeared on many of my audio podcasts, Martini Hours. Next, here’s a link to a video from Zorana Gee, an undeniably sexier (but, you know, I’m a guy) product manager for Photoshop.

So, given that Adobe is deliberately sneaking CS6, I’m going to tell you something: This looks to be an amazing upgrade, possibly the most feature-rich in the past dozen years. Meanwhile, I will have as many as 3 movies coming your way on this very topic. Before, let’s say, Spring Break. (I’m not suggesting a launch date, I just have Spring Break plans, that’s all.) In fact, I recorded two today. These movies will be available from lynda.com. And I assure you, they will be the most authoritative movies on the topic.

I wish I could show them to you now. The movies on this page, they’re awesome stuff. But, corporately cautiously, they don’t do sufficient justice to this outrageously amazing upgrade. Seriously, Photoshop CS6 promises to be the best in a long time. And it will be in your hands, in a way you might not imagine, in the not-so-distant future. What I mean by that, I’m not permitted to say. Fortunately my lawyers and I agree: I have not at any point violated my NDA.

So, you know, all is exceedingly well. And you will know more in short order.

  • I have been skipping a

I have been skipping a version due to money (cant use upgrades on an educational license) so I have been itching to get my hands on cs5 but knowing I have to wait! I see they have real time brush size previews - those have been in PSP since I can remember finally made it into photoshop yaaaaaay! It’ll be worth the wait XD

  • Yeah, it’ll be worth the (small) wait

I say this as a (somewhat) disinterested third party: Photoshop CS6 looks to be the most feature-rich upgrade to the product this millennium.

Be the first to drop some wisdom...
